Founding Engineer – Test Lead

Theseus is developing a lightweight visual positioning system for drones that operates without GPS, using cameras, inertial sensors, and satellite imagery to enable navigation in contested environments. The system is fully self-contained and resilient to jamming, with early units sold to US Special Forces and integration with major drone manufacturers. As Founding Engineer – Test Lead, you will maintain and operate a fleet of drones for continuous testing of our system, scope, design and fabricate test fixtures and hardware modifications, conduct field tests in various environments to validate performance, analyze test data to identify issues and improvements, and collaborate with the engineering team to iterate on designs. This hands-on role involves building and assembling drone components, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring reliable operation for defense applications. By joining at this early stage, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing domestic drone technology and contributing to the reindustrialization of America's hard tech sector through innovative navigation solutions for unmanned systems.
