Senior Mechanical Engineer

Design and build high-speed mechanisms for AI-powered counter-drone systems at 9 Mothers, a YC-backed (P26) defense tech startup founded in 2024. The role involves GD&T, prototyping, and high-precision motion platforms for EDDA, an autonomous turret that engages fast FPV suicide drones at 10-100+ meters using passive acoustic detection and shotgun effectors. Work onsite in Austin on hardware that ships to US Government customers in months, not years. Focus on mechanical design for rugged, infantry-mobile point defense systems in the counter-sUAS space. US citizenship required due to defense work.
